Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality is offering a number of bursaries to deserving students residing within Ephraim Mogale Local municipality jurisdictional area to study at a registered and recognized tertiary institution.

Bursaries will only be granted to full-time students registered in the following fields of study:

Finance (or Commerce)
Agriculture
Tourism
Engineering (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical)
Records Management
Information Communication Technology
Town Planning
Application forms are obtainable from the offices of the Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality and the Satelite offices (Leeuwfontein, Elandskraal and Zamenkomst).

Completed application forms should be accompanied by the following valid documents:

Grade 12 Certificate or Statement of results,
Certified copies of salary advice/s ot parent/s or guardian/s,
Certified copy of the Identity Document of the applicant and of the parent or guardian,
Motivation letter for financial assistance and for the chosen field of study.

The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will make available a limited number of bursaries.

The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will make available a limited number of bursaries to historically disadvantaged South Africans residing in the Gauteng Province and who are considering a career in the Agriculture, Veterinary Services and Environmental Sectors.

These professions fall within scarce and critical occupational categories.

Field of Studies: BSc: Geo-Informatics or GIS-related qualification 
Minimum Requirements (National Senior Certificate): Mathematics and Physical Science Level 5 (60-69)

Fields of Studies: BSc: Agric Soil Science 
Minimum Requirements (National Senior Certificate):Mathematics and Physical Science Level 5 (60-69)

Field of Studies: BSc: Atmospheric Sciences or related qualification
Minimum Requirements (National Senior Certificate):Mathematics, Chemistry and Physical Science Level 5 (60-69)

Field of Studies: National Diploma: Chemical Engineering 
Minimum Requirements (National Senior Certificate):Mathematics, Chemistry and Physical Science Level 4 (50-59)

Field of Studies: National Diploma: Equine Science 
Minimum Requirements (National Senior Certificate):Mathematics, Life Science and Physical Science Level 4 (50-59)

Field of Studies: National Diploma: Veterinary Technology 
Minimum Requirements (National Senior Certificate): Mathematics and Physical Science Level 4 (50-59)

Within the framework of the Scarce Skills Talent Pipeline and Human Resource Recruitment Policy, the selection of candidates is based on the following criteria:

• Applicants must show proof of admission (provisional admission) to a higher educational institution for any of the above qualifications

• Applicants must have been a permanent resident in the Gauteng Province for at least one year prior to application

• Applicants must be studying or intending to study full time at a recognised institution of higher learning in Gauteng Province

• Preference will be given to those who excel academically and/or demonstrate potential

• Preference will be given to those who are not currently benefiting from any other bursary scheme

• Women, people with disabilities and people living in designated rural areas are encouraged to apply.

Novus Holdings Apprenticeship Programme




Novus Print Solutions in Montague Gardens is seeking applicants for the 2017 apprenticeship programme, commencing in January 2017.

The minimum requirement is Grade 12 with Mathematics.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The successful applicants will be contracted as apprentices through FP&M SETA.

The apprentices will enter into a fixed term training contract with Paarl Media and the SETA for the duration of training.

Training will consist of approximately 6 months theoretical training at Novus Academy and a further 26 to 30 months at Novus Print Solutions for the core experiential component of the training.

The apprentices will earn an income for the duration of the apprenticeship programme.

Educational Requirements

Grade 12 with Mathematics literacy or an equivalent qualification.
Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent with Mathematics (a minimum of 50% pass rate).
A copy of the matric result must be attached or else the application will not be considered.
Previous shift work experience would be advantageous
Experience Requirements

Previous work experience would be beneficial.

Skills & Competencies

Good communication skills in English
Willingness to work shifts
An eye for detail - especially exceptional colour perception.
Technical foundation would be advantageous
